AGE GROUP PROGRAM

SwimNation Aquatics offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. Our goal is to offer age specific training for all athletes, and develop them to reach their goals based on abilities. 

 

Learn to Swim (LTS)

  • Age Served – 3 years to Adults
  • Program Goal – for swimmers not ready to join the competitive program, LTS serves thecommunity with a lessons program and to develop a base from swimmers to feed into SNA and the pools they utilize.
  • Program Hours – Semi-private lessons (40 minutes) and Private lessons (20 minutes); all specific information regarding LTS can be found under the SWIM LESSONS tab of the website

 

SwimCraft

  • Age Served – 5 to 10 year old
  • Program Goal – to develop athletes that graduate from the LTS program into basic understanding of competitive swimming at a novice to intermediate level. Athletes in this group will compete in local USA Swimming Invitationals and Championships appropriate for their age group
  • Program Hours – 1 hour of swim instruction time 3 to 5 days a week, Monday through Friday.
  • Recommended Entry Requirements - understanding of 2 of the 4 competitive strokes

 

SwimStroke

  • Age Served – 12 and under
  • Program Goal – to develop athletes from the Craft Group to compete in USA Swimming meets at all levels of offered competition. Athletes in this group will work to attain National BB standards.
  • Program Hours – 1.5 hours of instruction including dryland with a recommended 4 to 6 practice sessions attended a week and one meet a month.
  • Recommended Entry Requirements - One National B time standard and an understanding of all 4 strokes

 

SwimVelocity

  • Age Served – 13 and Under
  • Program Goal – to develop athletes from the Stroke Group to compete in USA Swimming meets at all levels of offered competition. Athletes in this group will be required to have a National BB standard and should work to attain a National AAAA standard for their age group.
  • Program Hours – 2 hours of instruction including dryland with a recommended 5 to 6 days a week and one meet a month.
  • Recommended Entry Requirements - three National BB time standards in multiple strokes.

 

**TRAVEL NOTE - All groups are eligible for travel to locations that will best serve our
athletes and their athletic goals. Coaches discretion will be used to determine if an
athlete is appropriate for travel.
